I run Composed Capital, an independent investment advisory firm built around a more human approach to financial planning.

Composed combines investment management and rigorous financial planning with a deeper focus on behavior, tradeoffs, and the decisions that shape a client’s life over time. The numbers help us understand what is possible. The harder questions are often what someone actually wants, what they are willing to trade for it, and how their financial resources can support the life they are trying to build.

That work led me to build Sonar Signal, an AI platform designed to extend the planning relationship before and between advisor meetings.

Sonar maintains context across conversations, helps surface decisions and tradeoffs as they emerge, and gives the advisor a deeper understanding of what is happening in a client’s financial life. It is not intended to replace the advisor or traditional financial planning tools. The goal is to make the human side of financial advice more continuous.

Right now, I’m using Sonar inside Composed Capital to develop and test this approach with real clients. Over time, I’m interested in what this model could mean for how financial advice is delivered more broadly.
